Are You Squelching Your Divine Urge?

As Spiritual beings, having a human experience, we all have seeds of desire planted deeply within us.

Sometimes the desire may come to our attention in a huge booming voice with undeniable clarity and certainty, and sometimes it may just be a gentle urge we feel. No matter how it comes, when it does come, we have a choice. We can either listen to and nurture that desire, or we can deny it and squash it down.

When we pay attention to this urge to express our desire and recognize the gifts we have to offer, we allow our desire the opportunity to be expressed. When we step into this opportunity, the ways to express this desire and the support to help us bring it out into the world appear. When we choose to nurture our desires and our gifts, our life and our businesses flourish, grow and expand.

Even if we chose to ignore this urge, squash it down below the surface and distract ourselves, it will never the less find a way to express itself - but it will most likely show up in a distorted, unpleasant way, because it has not been given ample room to flourish, grow and expand. Often this distortion will look like a failing business, job loss, a weakened or failed relationship or even injury, illness or disease.

We are not meant to squelch and withhold our gifts from the world. We are meant to shine them like a beacon across the Universe. We are meant to hone them, nurture them and share them. And we do a disservice to not only ourselves, but others when we hold back our desires and gifts. When we play small and don't honor our own unique contributions, everyone misses out on our brilliance, our wisdom and our ability to touch their lives. And in turn, we miss out on the opportunity for them to touch ours.

We invite you to explore where you may be holding back from expressing an urge, a desire or your own unique gifts and talents. Are you feeling restlessness or perhaps not expressing yourself as fully as you would like? Feed it, water it, weed around it, allow it to grow, and it will blossom into a greater life than you can imagine.

"How do I feed, water, and weed for my seed?" you may ask. Remember, we reap what we sow, so sow only thoughts and beliefs of Greatness.

Take a moment, breathe deeply and go within.

See a great oak tree standing before you, its limbs stretching up and touching the sky.

Realize that this immense tree came from a tiny acorn that fell upon the ground, and that within you is a seed planted by the Divine.

Remember, within you is an immense life, for within you is a Seed of Greatness.
