In the end (as well as in the beginning), marketing and selling always come down to people... people and stories. We relate to one another through our common trials, tribulations and triumphs.

When you share what your personal journey has been to get from where you were to where you are now, you open the door for your clients and potential clients to walk right through. You see, the clients that will be attracted to working with you will be able to relate to you on a very intimate level.

For most of us, the specific client we attract (and pressing problem we solve) are generally the person we were and the problem we had, before we made our own transformation and began the business we currently have.

When you share your personal story of the obstacles you overcame, you not only create a space for your potential clients to know, like and trust you (the 3 key factors in whether or not someone will purchase from you), but you also help them to recognize themselves in your story and therefore self-select themselves as your client. Because if you can do it, so can they. (And if they don't pick up on this, you will be sure to point this out to them as well.)

Getting clear about what your journey has been and sharing your compelling story brings the clarity you need for yourself to create a thriving, authentic business as well as connecting you with the ideal clients you desire to attract to you and your business.

What are the gifts that you now recognize because of those obstacles? What new perception do you have of life now as a result of your trials, tribulations and triumphs?

We also challenge you to explore who may be dealing with those obstacles that you have overcome - who may need your help to understand those obstacles and make the changes necessary to overcome those obstacles...these are your ideal clients. If you are already in your purpose, you are most likely already helping these people. If not, you may want to explore how you can help them.

Living is Life experienced.

We've all had ups and downs, twists and turns. We've had our triumphs and our disappointments - maybe even a failure or two (possibly something we would not discuss with anyone, for any reason).

No matter what these events look like, they have made up our life.

If we stop and really look at every event that has occurred in our life, we will realize that we needed every last one of them to happen.

Not even the smallest detail could have been different, or we would not be who we are. Everything has occurred perfectly to bring us to this precise moment in time.

Take a moment and look at your life. Really look at it.

No matter where you are, you are in the perfect place. Know this.

And no matter where you are, you can choose to create a different experience, not by attempting to change your past, but by getting Present.

Take a deep breath, get Present, set your intention, and allow yourself to experience Life.
